Composite fencing Woodlyn, PA

Composite fencing in Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, represents a modern and innovative approach to boundary solutions that homeowners are increasingly adopting for its numerous benefits. Unlike traditional wooden fences, composite materials offer longevity and resilience against the harsh weather elements commonly experienced in this region.

Aesthetically pleasing with a variety of design options, composite fencing seamlessly integrates into the Woodlyn community's diverse architectural landscape. The material is manufactured from a blend of wood fibers and plastics, resulting in an eco-friendly alternative to solely wood-based products. This synthesis creates a non-susceptible barrier to rotting, warping, or insect infestation—common ailments that afflict conventional wooden fences over time.

The initial investment for composite fencing might appear as the less economical choice compared to traditional options; however, when considering long-term maintenance costs and replacement intervals, it emerges as the financially prudent selection. Homeowners can enjoy the classic appearance of wood without necessitating frequent staining or sealing that natural timber demands.

Furthermore, composite fencing contributes positively towards sustainability efforts. Its composition typically involves recycled materials which would otherwise burden landfills. By choosing this option, residents of Woodlyn demonstrate environmental consciousness while also benefitting from decreased maintenance hassles.

Installation of composite fencing is straightforwardly comparable to other types—and local contractors familiar with such projects ensure professional setup. Once erected, these fences stand resiliently against seasonal storms and temperature fluctuations that characterize Pennsylvanian climate patterns.

In summary, Woodlyn's adoption of composite fencing reflects a collective preference for durable, aesthetically versatile barriers that align with both personal preferences and ecological responsibility. It's an investment not only in property value but also in sustainable living practices—a testament to forward-thinking home improvement strategies prevalent within this community.

Angi provided me with several contractors, I received estimates but chose Philz Landscaping (even after coming in higher) because he satisfied with his estimate and start date our fervent desire to complete the project before winter set in. Alex, Javier set the example of professionalism in setting up the area to remove fencing and gate, installed vinyl fence with double gate (assisted by Carlos), removed all debris, left my yard spotless and we are extremely satisfied with the new fence and gate. Questions we had were answered (Helena, Phil) promptly and Alex, Javier went above and beyond ensuring my wife’s concerns were taken care of; I want again to Thank the team at Philz Landscaping and recommend highly to perform your project.

Had Phil and his workers come by my house to work on the backyard in May this year. Eliminate weeds, regrade soil and replant grass seed. 158 feet worth of backyard which he estimated $1600 to do. There was a hiccup with his office and scheduling and he wasn't even aware of the set date in mid-May. He rescheduled for the week after and took off $100 for inconvenience. His crew shows up and does the job and weeks after, grass grew....but not fully in corners of the yard. I called him back, voicemail immediately. Got in touch with his office and they said they would pass the message. His response times are atrocious and I told him about the patches in the grass. He says "no problem I'll send guys to evaluate and re-seed". They show up and do the job again. By mid-July, weeds are growing in very strong and grass is dying at exceedingly high rate despite me watering. I called him back and he says "that's odd, I'll come by this afternoon or tomorrow" in September when I finally get a hold of him. He never shows up or responds to texts or further calls. The photos below are post-lawn work with visible patches and weeds. I had to spend additional monies on top soil, grass seed and water to correct the loss of 50% of the lawn!! If you want an overpriced job not done right, Phil is your guy!!

Philz Landscaping built 2 patios on my property. One is flagstone and the other is pavers with a retaining wall. Both are absolutely beautiful. Working with Phil and his team has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and reasonable pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Composite fencing is a type of fencing material made from a blend of wood fibers and plastic resins, designed to mimic the look of natural wood while offering enhanced durability, low maintenance, and resistance to weathering. It generally lasts longer than traditional wood fencing without the need for painting or staining.
The advantages include its longevity, minimal upkeep requirements (no need for regular painting or staining), resistance to rotting, warping, splintering, and insect damage. Its durability makes it well-suited for the variable climate in Woodlyn, PA.
Yes. You should check with the local building department or municipality in Woodlyn for any specific regulations regarding fence installation. This can include height restrictions, set-back rules from property lines, and any required permits.
Composite fencing typically costs more upfront than wood but is competitive with vinyl. However, due to its long lifespan and low maintenance costs over time (no painting/staining needed), it can be more cost-effective in the long run. Pricing will vary based on design complexity and labor rates in Woodlyn; obtaining quotes from local contractors is recommended.
While some homeowners may have the skills and tools necessary to self-install a composite fence successfully, professional installation is often recommended. This ensures that all local building codes are met and that your fence is properly installed for maximum longevity and stability. Many manufacturers also offer warranties that might require professional installation as a condition.
