In the charming community of Woodlyn, Pennsylvania, homeowners showcase their personal style and ensure privacy through the selection of various types of fences. Each fence type offers unique advantages and aesthetic appeal, from the classic wooden picket to the sturdy wrought iron. Starting with traditional wood fences, these structures remain a perennial favorite due to their natural beauty and versatility. Whether stained to magnify the rich hues or painted in whimsical colors for a playful touch, wood fences can be customized to suit any landscape design. Moreover, they offer an organic warmth that blends seamlessly with Woodlyn's picturesque surroundings. Vinyl fencing is another popular choice among Woodlyn residents for its low maintenance and longevity. Unlike wood, vinyl doesn't succumb to rot or require frequent painting. It comes in diverse styles that mimic other materials like wood or stone but stands out for its resilience against harsh weather conditions. For those seeking grandeur and security, wrought iron fences are a matchless option. These robust barriers exude elegance while providing formidable protection. With intricate designs ranging from simple lines to elaborate scrolls, wrought iron enhances properties with an air of sophistication. Chain link fences are valued for practicality above all else. They offer reliable containment for pets and children without obstructing the view beyond your yard. Although less decorative than other types, chain link is durable and cost-effective—a sensible solution for expansive boundaries on larger properties. Composite fencing is a newcomer gaining traction in residential areas like Woodlyn. Combining wood fibers with plastic polymers results in a strong material resistant to decay and pests yet retains the appearance of real wood. Composite provides an eco-friendly alternative since it often incorporates recycled materials. Lastly, there’s bamboo fencing—an exotic addition that brings lushness and privacy while promoting sustainability. Bamboo grows rapidly compared to traditional lumber sources making it an environmentally-conscious choice that still offers durability akin to some hardwoods. In conclusion, Woodlyn's eclectic mix of fence types caters to varied tastes and needs—whether you're inclined towards classic charm or modern practicality; there's certainly a fence that will not only protect but also enhance your property’s curb appeal in this delightful slice of Pennsylvania.

From the first phone call to the completion of the fence installation, Phil was extremely professional and responsive. He answered all our questions and gave us a fair price. His entire crew was exceptional, super tidy, and pleasant. If you need fence installation… absolutely use Philz Landscaping!!!!
We cannot say enough concerning Philz Landscape. One call and I connected with Pat. We found found that Pat was a man of his word and committed to pleasing us with minor finishes. I would highly recommend this company. Sincerely, Ricky and Donna L Jones
Angi provided me with several contractors, I received estimates but chose Philz Landscaping (even after coming in higher) because he satisfied with his estimate and start date our fervent desire to complete the project before winter set in. Alex, Javier set the example of professionalism in setting up the area to remove fencing and gate, installed vinyl fence with double gate (assisted by Carlos), removed all debris, left my yard spotless and we are extremely satisfied with the new fence and gate. Questions we had were answered (Helena, Phil) promptly and Alex, Javier went above and beyond ensuring my wife’s concerns were taken care of; I want again to Thank the team at Philz Landscaping and recommend highly to perform your project.
Had Phil and his workers come by my house to work on the backyard in May this year. Eliminate weeds, regrade soil and replant grass seed. 158 feet worth of backyard which he estimated $1600 to do. There was a hiccup with his office and scheduling and he wasn't even aware of the set date in mid-May. He rescheduled for the week after and took off $100 for inconvenience. His crew shows up and does the job and weeks after, grass grew....but not fully in corners of the yard. I called him back, voicemail immediately. Got in touch with his office and they said they would pass the message. His response times are atrocious and I told him about the patches in the grass. He says "no problem I'll send guys to evaluate and re-seed". They show up and do the job again. By mid-July, weeds are growing in very strong and grass is dying at exceedingly high rate despite me watering. I called him back and he says "that's odd, I'll come by this afternoon or tomorrow" in September when I finally get a hold of him. He never shows up or responds to texts or further calls. The photos below are post-lawn work with visible patches and weeds. I had to spend additional monies on top soil, grass seed and water to correct the loss of 50% of the lawn!! If you want an overpriced job not done right, Phil is your guy!!
Philz Landscaping built 2 patios on my property. One is flagstone and the other is pavers with a retaining wall. Both are absolutely beautiful. Working with Phil and his team has been a great experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliability, quality, and reasonable pricing.
